Everyone has had bad experiences while driving. My own personal worst—coming to in my wrecked car, surrounded by rescue workers, with my husband gasping for breath beside me. This time, it was not a bad driver at fault, but a malfunctioning traffic signal. We got T-boned doing 45mph by someone doing 55mph…and husband took the brunt of it. He died a few hours later. Bad driving had nothing to do with it….But still a good idea to always look out for the other driver and be aware of your surroundings.

I would like to get one for my husband, any feedback on how that was or which would be better, I know the ride along is FASTER, but driving yourself might be cool as well.

I BOUGHT THE RICHARD PETTY DRIVING EXPERIENCE FOR MY HUSBAND AND HE THOUGHT IT WAS THE MOST AWESOME THING HE HAD EVER DONE THE ONLY THING HE FELT BAD ABOUT IS THAT THEY PUT RESTRICTOR PLATES ON THE CARS BUT HE DID GO TO DAYTONA TO DO IT AND HE ALSO DID THE RIDE ALONG AND SO DID MY FIFTEEN YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND THEY BOTH LOVED IT. HE DIED A YEAR AFTER I GAVE IT TO HIM SO I DON’T REGRET IT YOU GET PICTURES OF IT ON A PLACK SO I HOPE YOU GET AS MANY MEMORIES OUT OF YOURS THAT I HAVE . ENJOY

I have always wanted to do the Richard Petty Driving Experience…and my wife has graciously gave her approval for me doing so. So for Christmas that’s going to be one of my presents. But here’s my dilemma….where should I "experience" it at????
My choices would include….Bristol; Darlington; or Charlotte????
Those are the three tracks closest to where I live but it’s too hard to decide. If you were me where would you go???? Have any of you done the Richard Petty Driving Experience????? If so, where?

I am looking at either sending my fiance to Darlington or to Lowe’s MS. What should he expect?

Nothing against Darlington, but if I had to pick one over the other, I’d go to Lowe’s first. It’s a little less intimidating, and probably more fun. They’ll talk to him for a short time about what he’ll do, put a suit and helmet on him, eventually strap him in a car, and then he’ll get to do some laps. My first on track stock car experience was with Fast Track Racing School at Lowe’s under the lights. Very cool.
