Palin On Russia, Putin And Putin’s Head

June 92010

CBS Evening News With Katie Couric

COURIC: You’ve cited Alaska’s proximity to Russia as part of your foreign policy experience. What did you mean by that?

PALIN: That Alaska has a very narrow maritime border between a foreign country, Russia, and on our other side, the land– boundary that we have with– Canada. It– it’s funny that a comment like that was– kind of made to– cari– I don’t know, you know? Reporters–

COURIC: Mock?

PALIN: Yeah, mocked, I guess that’s the word, yeah.

COURIC: Explain to me why that enhances your foreign policy credentials.

PALIN: Well, it certainly does because our– our next door neighbors are foreign countries. They’re in the state that I am the executive of. And there in Russia–

COURIC: Have you ever been involved with any negotiations, for example, with the Russians?

PALIN: We have trade missions back and forth. We– we do– it’s very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where– where do they go? It’s Alaska. It’s just right over the border. It is– from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to– to our state.

The gift of God, Living Water… the direct spiritual experience. Does anyone want to describe the experience?

June 52010

I’m curious to know if anyone has had the direct experience of the "Living Water" Jesus spoke about in John 4:10, John 4:13 and John 4:14.

It’s a Spiritual experience that is described here.. http://gospelenigma.com In the middle part of Chapter 23.

It’s the "Gift of God." And it flows to becomes a well of water springing up into everlasting life… so I hope that this gift is being enjoyed by someone out there. Does anyone wish to share the experience? Or comments on the question are welcome as well.

Thanks.

Difficult for me to describe it, however, the Q does so quite well, and speaking of ‘well’ – it’s as though there is this ‘energy’ that just keeps pouring through me, and keeps me going, no matter what swirls around me and no matter what other thoughts ideas or suggestions may swirl in my mind – this ‘living water’ feeds me, washes clear my vision, unclogs my hearing, fills me up in places where this earth walk has left holes, it’s beyond what we humans describe love, it’s more empowering than an adrenelin surge. Nope I can’t de-scribe it. But it’s great and I open wider to the wellspring flowing inside me daily.

And this that refreshes renews strengthens and enlivens and bubbles over with clarity and joy is there, free, to all who care to partake of it for themselves.

How did I discover this wellspring? Through Christ.
Blessings for this Q :) thanks

What in your personal life’s experiences makes the gift of God, grace, a free pardon, real & plausible to you?

May 302010

Most of us who are parents can probably identify with the parable of "the prodigal son". We love our children so much that we could or would forgive them for anything, and accept them back with open arms. Most of us who are saved probably know people who are unable to accept the free gift of salvation because it sounds too good to be true. Is there any particular incident in your personal relationship with your spouse or child or parent that has enabled you to believe that God loves you enough that all your sins are forgiven and that you have the assurance of eternal life?

I grew up with very abusive parents. When I thought about God growing up, I always envisioned Him to be mean and judgmental, and I guess I felt that way because of the way I was treated at home. At the age of 13, I was invited by one of my school friends to attend her church. It was there that I heard about Jesus and how He loved me so much that He suffered a terrible death just so that I could go to Heaven. I went forward when the invitation was given, and accepted Jesus into my heart; the next Sunday I was baptized. I knew from that moment on that nothing could ever separate me from His love. God bless you!!!

Part 1 Star Trek The Experience Warehouse Sale Walkthrough

May 282010

Part 1 , a walkthrough of the Saturday April 10th 2010 propworx Star Trek The Experience warehouse sale in Las Vegas.

I literally walked through with the camera in my hand. The video was slightly better before the conversion to youtube. I did not buy anything there. I was interested in the translights but even before we could get inside they told us that they were made of glass and could break easily and if you break it you buy it , in fact you can even hear them say it on my walkthrough as I pass by the translights , right after the 250 each part. So I did not want to spend a lot of money on something that was big and breakable , and to be truthful I couldn’t help but think it would just become a dust collector.

They did not have any of the stuff from the gift shop there for sale , what little they did have from the gift shop they gave away for free , a few postcards and Star Trek poker playing cards , 3d glasses from the ride were also given away.

The uniforms had numbers on the tags as well as size , I am not sure but I believe the uniforms were made to fit the actors , it was not L,M,S, like shopping at the mall. It had numbers like 62 or 42 and sometimes with a L or M , that’s what I remember of it.

I already have two uniforms one TOS and one TNG , they were the uniforms sold at the gift shop , I like them , but they sit at the bottom of my cabinet drawers , so I wasn’t going to spend 150 on something I’ll never use.

Turns out they didn’t have anything I wanted or if I wanted it , it cost too much or was sold by the time I even noticed it.

I’m pretty sure I covered everything that was there on this walkthrough . So that’s it for the “Experience”. This version of it anyway.

Sending a gift basket or hamper to Australia from the USA?

May 282010

Hi, I live in the USA and need to send a nice gift basket/hamper to Australia. I have spent countless hours online with no luck. The best USA gift basket sites have very limited choices in international delivery, while the Australian hampers would be nothing original. Does anyone have experience in ordering a quality gift online to be sent out of the country? At this point I feel like my best bet is to shop for an Australian hamper to be sent within Australia. I just wanted some neat american cheese or wine I guess… Thanks in advance.

Before you buy anything outside Australia for sending into Australia, you should check out on the customs pages as there are numerous items that cannot be imported in (without a special licence).
especially food products.

Have you thought about perhaps making a little gift basket up yourself? Have a think about items (not necessarily food) that is more Americanised (ie obvious choices for someone sending from aus to us would be boomerang, kangeroo, koala etc) That would be original! (and would probably save you money too!) have a thought as to what the person you are sending to likes!\\

Good luck!

Is this a good gift for my friend on her birthday?

May 212010

I wanted to ask if giving a Bouquet of ROSES & IRIS’S on my friend’s birthday alongwith some chocolates is a good idea. Also, what else can I give her? I do not have any experience in gifts.

It is a terrible idea. Roses do not last. If you want to give flowers, buy a potted orchid, it will last for weeks. Chocolate is lovely but a poison. A magazine subscription is a good idea as she will think of you every month. A hand made card is a good idea, with a personal message.
Also maybe a CD of her favourite band, or one you recommend she listens to. If you are close, cook her a meal, that would be awesome.
