Mazda needs to redo …
Mazda needs to redo the rx7 w/ a 4 rotor for their super car, then unleash the bastard. Rawr!!!! IMHO the RX7 is the best looking car of the 90s still quite the looker too. Awesome car. The dream car would have ~550 / HP sequential twin turbo with awesome brakes and drive train. 18K red line too

no comptetition the gt300 rx7 for sure, its lighter, handles a of alot better and has better aerodynamics, though the gt300 has about half the horsepower.

lol yes that would be most interesting to see. Which, though, would you think would win – a V8SC Commodore or a GT300 RX-7? Honestly, I’d pick the RX-7 since it’s a lot lighter and therefore easier to throw around corners.

It would be interesting to see a GT300 car against the V8SC’s. I think depending on the track it could go either way. The 12at sportssedan vs the EL(iirc) wasn’t a very good match up. The v8 was down on power and driving ability- the lap times were well off what a good v8SC can do around Wakefied.
Wayne Gardner apparently holds the unofficial lap record at QR in a GT500 Supra (about 8 sec quicker than v8sc…

Makes it hard to be a fan of Super GT when they won’t televise it in the states, and every broadcast you do see is in Japanese…with how fuckin’ crazy these things are, it would catch on quick in the rest of the world…

haha you’d like to believe that wouldnt you? the fact still remains the same you know nothing about cars, HP does NOT always determine the race, and yes, it is a mazda. the chassis is mazda, the 20b is a mazda motor, and the parts on the engine are made for mazda because its for a rotary, right? right so shut the up and sit down.

haha its funny because im not sure if you saw but they went through whats common and independent on the 2, only the engine and bodywork lol! floorpan gearbox exhaust suspension rollcage etc all common to both holden and ford, they showed it on bathurst this year

actually…super gt cars must retain a factory chassis, but they can be spot welded and must use a steel roll cage

JGTC/Super GT cars …
JGTC/Super GT cars are silhouette racers (purpose built racing chassis with street car bodies) just like Aussie Supercars. Both classes are not built on the street cars themselves, so this is no more Mazda than a V8 supercar is a Ford or a Holden. Also, the Mazda in this video is a GT300 car with roughly 300hp, so it would probably be beaten by a V8 Supercar, which has over double the HP.

DAMN i notice …
i notice amemiya car always lose by a mere split second to a number 2 car . always the 3rd n lose to the stupid 2nd car by a split second . its everywhere manz . gt class , time attack or watever . i tink amemiya san nid to find a more better driver , because im sure it can achieve the 2nd position .
