How do i get job experience when no one wants to hire ?

March 52010

I’m trying to get a computer job because i have my a+ certificate. However, everywhere i go, i see must have a number of years experience in that field. How do i get that experience if no one is willing to hire? I’ve seen sum pretty dumb techs out there and i get angry because they have the jobs and i don’t. This makes no sense.

Have you tried temping? It’s a great way to get experience and if you do really well at the job, you may be hired full-time. Check out the temporary employment agencies in your area. Some specialize in office work, others in manual labor, others in home care workers. The list goes on and on. And employers are starting to hire temps again. They are reluctant to hire full-time employees without knowing whether or not they will fit into their company, so they want to start out with temps. And good luck in your job search.

Don’t get too upset at that, people like that have someone hooking them up with a job sometimes. You just have to keep looking around.

    1. Apply to jobs even if they ask for experience. Getting a job is about showing determination and proving yourself to the company. Make sure you have a great cover letter and resume. Have someone review and proofread it, if you can. Many people assume that if you have many spelling or grammatical errors that you do not have enough education or you do not make sure that you present quality work. This is ‘only’ Y! Answers but i = I, sum = some, etc. Unfortunately you can be well skilled in one area and not have a mind for English and be passed over.

My husband is brilliant but does not have great spelling and grammar. I proofread/edit his cover letters and resumes. He got great job offers afterward.
