How can a SAP certified professional with no experience find a job in Canada?

June 52010

Is there a place where they let you work for no salary, or just expenses paid, so a person can gain experience?

I would check with SAP and ask them for a list of companies that use SAP, and connect with them that way….SAP also looks for consultants, too.

I would try also to join a networking forum, or perhaps there’s an SAP programmers’ website/chatroom/blog where you can connect (I realize there’s probably not alot of SAP developers in any one single market.) Maybe just get into an IT developers local group that meets once a month or whatever – i.e. network.

There may be some avenues through the universities; check with the career services departments at McGill, etc. even if you are not an alum. If you ask nicely, people will try to help, and most of those departments are underutilized by students.

I hope that helps!
