How to write a resume without experience?

February 192010

Here is the thing. I will have just graduated high school this Thursday (29 May 08), and I think now is a good time to start applying for jobs. Many jobs require you to have a resume, but I do not have any experiences to put down. I’ve never done any after school activites, because I have wanted to focus on school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Open a new word document and copy the sample resume available from website like http://myitcareer.org/ .

Go ahead and concentrate on what your objectives are for the future. Employers will understand that you are barely graduating high school and won’t expect to find much on your resume. You can start with an "career objective", and then list your high school, and any awards you might have received while in school. You should also list your computer skilss, for example, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc., and talk about your interests and hobbies. If you speak any foreign language, you should include that as well. Good luck.
